Teacher Workshop: Symmetrical Arm Support
This workshop will explore what Alexander may have meant when he wrote,
"…in such a way that the pupil will be supporting the torso with his arms."
We have chosen movement from a baby's repertoire to explore symmetrical support of
the torso with the arms while incorporating Alexander's Door Exercise. This type of
work is fun and informs our understanding of moving students.

Symmetrical Support June 9
In this workshop, we have chosen the baby's symmetrical support of the torso with the arms.
Observing this type of early, necessary support with the arms and applying it to supporting
ourselves with our hands on surfaces informs our understanding of Alexander's support
of the torso with the arms. We've chosen two surfaces to explore this idea––hands on the back
of a chair with the additional support of the wall and hands on another person's shoulders and
back while they are seated.

Teacher Workshop:
Symmetrical and Asymmetrical Arm Support March 20
This workshop will continue our previous explorations in our Ann Arbor workshops. We
have chosen two movements from a baby's repertoire–sliding backward when intending to go
forward and standing supported with one hand while reaching with the other. Observing
this type of early, necessary support wit the arms and applying it to supporting ourselves while
our hands are on a chair, a physio-ball, or a friend informs our understanding of Alexander's
support of the torso with the arms.

Student Workshop
Dart Procedures as Sequenced by Joan and Alex Murray March 19
Host AT teacher Nancy Crego, If you have not had the opportunity to work with Rose and Rick, this is a great time to do so. As you know, much of the work we do in lessons is influenced by the Dart work, and in my case, the sequence established by my trainers Joan and Alex Murray. As people who have attended earlier workshops will tell you, Rose and Rick are fabulous and very easy-going. All levels of experience and range of motion are taken into consideration in the workshop. No frets, just fun!
